Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate

Ait Ben Haddou is Morocco’s best-preserved and most beautiful Kasbah; it’s a grouping of smaller Kasbahs. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddo Kasbah is a fortified hilltop town built in the 14th century on the traditional caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara.

The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou has been featured in numerous films. We will leave Marrakech at 9:00 a.m. for our day journey to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbahs, passing via the High Atlas route on the Tizi N’Tichka Pass, which gives through the highest mountain in North Africa.

We will be able to see the chain’s summits and stunning traditional Berber settlements along the way on this day trip.

We’ll travel to Ait Ben Haddou’s fortified Ksar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) to tour and learn about its exquisite Kasbahs. It’s an atmospheric location, and the Kasbah is incredible at sunrise or sunset.

Climb to the ruins of the walled granary for spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, then take a short walk along the river and into the village.

We will drive to Ouarzazate, the southern gateway to the desert and the heart of Sahara desert tourism.

We will see the Taourirt Kasbah and its fantastic architecture, which allows you to see inside a true antique Kasbah and learn about Moroccan architecture.

The entrance price per person is 2 euros or 20 dirhams. We drive back to Marrakech
