Depart from Marrakech early in the morning, head towards the high Atlas Mountains via Tahnaouet (local market on Tuesdays), Valley Ghighaya, Moulay Brahim gorges, Asni (market on Saturdays), then between sieged fields of vegetables, fruit trees walnuts & cherries. We arrive in Imlil (1740m), a local guide will welcome us with a glass of mint tea, then we ride mules or walk through Berber villages ( Ait Souka, Targa Imoula, Tagadirte. We will pass by a waterfall before climbing to Armed village (1900m height). Stop for lunch at the Berber family’s house with a view on the gigantic Toubkal (4167m), the highest peak in North Africa, visit one of the oldest villages in the massif, then go back down by the western side overlooking the Ait Mizane valley ancient irrigated terraced fields, passing by Ashien & Fimlil villages before the centre. Finish our trek there & head back to Marrakech.
