5 Days tour from Fes to Marrakech is the perfect way to explore Morocco’s desert and the high Atlas Mountains. Starting with a stone statue of a lion and cedar forest in azrou ; the unique place where wild monkeys come down the trees to grab food from tourists. Not to mention the camel trek experience and overnight stay at the desert camp with its magical sunrise/sunset views over the golden dunes. This 5 days tour will give you the opportunity to spend more time in the Sahara, explore the Merzouga area, visit Berber nomad families in their camps and tents, walk around in local traditional weekly markets, explore palm fields of ziz valley and the fossil exhibitions of Arfoud and many more sites.

Itinerary
Day 1: Fes– Erfoud

The tour starts At 8 a.m; we drive through Azrou, where you can watch wild monkeys in the woods of the middle Atlas mountains. Next, we head to Midelt. It is widely known for apple farming. We stop for lunch there. After lunch, we take back on the road by the pass of Tizi-n-Talremt through the Ziz Valley. The valley is famous for its large oasis of Palm. Along the way, we will enjoy views of many palaces and small traditional villages until we arrive in Er Rachidia, and we will continue to Erfoud, which is famous for fossil bazars and the festival of Dates. We spend the night and dine in a traditionally–designed hotel.

Day 2 : Ouarzazate - Merzouga

After breakfast, We drive south to Agdez. The Kasbahs of the Dra'a Valley begins here. Agdez has some of the oldest Kasbahs, as well as the Kasbah Tamnougalte. We continue to Tansikht through the old caravan road. We drive through the Bani mountains to the Merzouga sand dunes, passing through various Berber villages like N'Qob, Tazzarine, Elif, and Rissani. We will have lunch in one of the Berber villages. Then we head to Merzouga "erg Chebbi," where we will be greeted with a glass of mint tea. After tea break, We ride camels to the nomad camp to enjoy the sunset, folklore music around a campfire, and a great meal. We spend the night in a nomadic camp.

Day 3: Merzouga – Dades

First, enjoy the great view of the sunrise and the discoloration of the zandduien, the shadow play. An authentic spectacle. After breakfast, we move towards the gorge of Toudgha. While on the road, we pass through several Berber villages like Tinjdad and Toudga Valley. We stop for lunch at the gorges. After lunch, we go for a walk through the gorge of Toudgha, and the gardens along the river. After the walk, we continue our trip to the Dades Valley and the Dades Gorge. We have dinner and spend the night here.

Day 4: Dades – Ouarzazate

Have breakfast, get ready, then we go for a walk through the gorge of Dades by the river. After the walk, we continue our journey driving to Ouarzazate. We take an unpaved road by Boutghrar. On this road, you get to meet the Berber nomads and drink a glass of tea with them. After tea break, we drive along the Rose Valley to the village of Kelaa M'gouna where the 'Festival of Roses' is held in May every year. Here you can visit shops with all products made from the roses, such as rose water and oils. After a tour in klaa, we carry our journey along the kasbahs of Skoura to Ouarzazate, where we will have dinner and spend the night in a Riad.

Day 5 : Ouarzazte – Marrakech

After breakfast, we head to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage and the backdrop for many Hollywood films such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. It is the most famous and oldest Kasbah in Morocco. From there, we continued our journey to Telouet along the newly paved road. Telouet is a small village in the middle of the mountains and was once the home of the last Pasha of Marrakesh, El Glaoui. We arrived in Marrakech late and finished our tour there.

Important Notice: The trip offers a Camel trek and overnight stay in the camp. If a long Camel trek and overnight are not for you, you can still enjoy the sunset in M’Hamid and Chegaga desert while on a shorter camel trek or simply by a walk and pass the night in the Bivouac at the dune line. If the itineraries that we offer do not match what you are looking for. Contact us, and we will customize the trip to meet your own needs and requirements
