3 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Erg Chegaga
The Erg Chigaga sahara dunes is a newer and less visited location. The Erg Chegaga dunes are located in the southeast of Marrakech, near the Algerian border, and are almost 60 kilometers from the closest village of Mhamid. Here, the desert is larger and wild. An Erg Chigaga desert excursion should be expected to be a rough experience with no access to local hotels. Before reaching the sahara dunes, this desert tour involves at least three days of travel through Ait Benhaddou, Draa valley palm orchards, and a rocky desert scenery. The Erg Chigaga desert tour is a wonderful sahara desert tour that allows you to ride a camel, climb sahara dunes, sift cinnamon-and-sugar sand grains through your fingers, admire scenic views, and sleep in tents or under the stars. The Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga are other famous sahara dunes. The Erg Chebbi dunes are more well-known, reaching heights of up to 150 meters in certain areas and spanning a 50-kilometer region. There are Hotels along the edge of the desert, allowing visitors to spend the night in a standard hotel room or a luxury tent before exploring the Merzouga desert and its surroundings during the day.
